These diverse influences, along with his love for rock and metal, shaped his desire to bring excitement, variety, and energy to his music.

He received the Instrumental Artist of the Year Award at both the 2015 King Cat Music Awards and the 2007 Kansas City Christian Music Awards. He was also nominated for the Instrumental Artist of the Year Award in 2008 by IndieHeaven-Momentum Awards in Nashville, TN.
