His latest single “Black and White” is doing just that. By addressing “the most segregated time in our country”, Erskin tackles long-standing issues of race and religion. The single is on the EP, Look Up, which can be found on Spotify, ReverbNation and iTunes along with previous works Let’s Ride and Worship Now.
2016 has seen the conscious-testing “Black & White” single, as well as the energetic “Do What You Gotta Do”, receive significant radio airplay across the country. In addition, Erskin has traveled across the country and around the globe to encourage people in communities, churches, coffee shops and other concert venues. The many musical genres that he seamlessly covers – Pop, Jazz, Country, R&B and Hip Hop – attract a diverse fan-base and are continually winning over new listeners.
Erskin was a basketball stand-out who earned a scholarship to ETSU. He earned an M.Div. at SWBTS in Ft. Worth, TX. He currently resides in Nashville, TN, with his wife Kelli and their two children. Their heart for orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children led Erskin to become an advocate for the non-profit organization Holt International.
